In the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, we meet a cat reading a map who gives Vernon Dursley a stern look. Cats play a surprisingly large role in Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, and they are never all they seem. This presentation spans them all, Kneazle, Matagot, Patronus and Animagus, from the tiniest foul kitten to the largest Zouwu. Cats in Harry Potter, no matter what kind, are always magical.
